As Minnesota politicians head to 4th of July parades, they're likely to get an earful from voters on high gas prices.
Employers cut payrolls by 62,000 in June, the
sixth straight month of nationwide job losses, underscoring the
economy's fragile state. The unemployment rate held steady at 5.5
percent.
Nearly one-third of the country's top
executives expect to cut payrolls in the coming months, reflecting
fallout from the housing bust as well as soaring energy prices.
