Opponents of a proposed state sales tax increase for the outdoors and arts are ramping up their campaign to try to defeat the ballot measure this fall.
Auditor James Nobles says figures showing more than $10 million in out-of-state purchases last year are "red flags" and need to be
investigated, even though it's legal to use the cards in other states.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty says a state economic update scheduled for release tomorrow will be an improvement over the $1 billion shortfall that was predicted in February.
