Musicheads for January 6, 2008
Leave it to an English cult band that's been around for over 30 years to elicit the most enthusiastic review in this week's encore broadcast: Wire, with their 47th release, "Object 47." Mac Wilson and Melanie Walker joined me and also shared their thoughts on The Kaiser Chiefs' "Off With Their Heads" and Passion Pit's "Chunk Of Change." And our discussion continues about your favorite songs of 2008. (17:56s)
Musicheads for December 30, 2008
The Musicheads are taking a bit of a winter's nap for the next few weeks, but in the meantime, we're revisiting some of the livelier CD discussions from recent programs. This week, it's a look back at the reviews for Ryan Adams and The Cardinals' "Cardinology," The Broken West's "Now Or Heaven," and Of Montreal's "Skeletal Lamping." Host Bill DeVille is joined by guests Jill Riley and Radio Free Current host David Campbell. Also, the discussion continues: we're still curious to know your favorite songs of 2008. (23:20s)

Musicheads for December 23, 2008
The gang continues talking about some of their favorite songs of 2008 this week, as Jill Riley, Barb Abney, David Campbell, and Steve Seel join Bill DeVille to sing the praises of Kings of Leon's "Sex On Fire," Kristoff Krane's "Miracle?", The Magnetic Fields' "The Nun's Litany," The Mountain Goats' "Heretic Pride," and War On Drugs' "Taking The Farm." And, the conversation continues online too: what are some of your favorite songs of the year? (19:39s)
Musicheads for December 16, 2008
In keeping with established tradition, all the Musicheads regulars are gathering together this week - and next - to talk about some of their favorite songs of 2008 (not an easy task, but they're glad to step up, of course). I'm joined by Mark Wheat, Steve Seel, Mac Wilson, and David Safar this time to extol the virtues of some of this year's offerings by Cloud Cult, Jenny Lewis, Sun Kil Moon, Nas, and Alejandro Escovedo. And while all are in a list-making mood, you're encouraged both to chime in with some of your favorite songs of the year and nominate your Top 10 CDs of the past twelve months as well, for The Current's Top 89 of 2008, to be counted down on New Year's Day. (21:13s)
